So if it resonates with you, leave a view, a review. Sorry, not a view, but I'm going to tell you this, this episode right here.
Speaker 1:The lesson is in the loss, goodness gracious. I don't want to do this like a sermon, but we might well. We might just go ahead and do it like a sermon. The lesson will always be in the loss. The lesson is going to be in the loss when you start understanding. This game that we're playing of being a human being is about growth and evolving and being able to manipulate energy, and through manipulating energy, through our perspective, we are able to choose the experience that we want. Good God, almighty, we getting started already. So this is what the cool part about being a human was. I think Dolores Cannon said it best when she said we came here to earth to be able to manipulate energy. The way you manipulate energy is based on how you look at it. So the way I look at something will determine the energy of the situation. So I went through some tough stuff that seemed like it was the hardest thing that I've ever encountered, but that same tough stuff ended up being the thing that made me tough. Good God, almighty, y'all ain't trying to hear nothing. The thing that was tough, that you felt like you couldn't get through, will be the same thing that actually makes you tough. So now I have a different perspective. There's a different energy. There's a different emotion around that thing. You see how this works. So now this is a different energy. I've just manipulated the energy of the situation. I've just consciously chosen how to experience the situation.
Speaker 1:Now I started to take a step back and see that everything in life is really based on or what it happens is is for you to learn. Learn what, though? Learn math that's a part of it, really it's so you could learn more about yourself, so you could learn why you are the way you are. This is why the Greeks used to say know thyself, and this master of self would become the master of all, because everything would be a reflection of your level of self-awareness. But here's the way this human game works, this thing that we call the law of resistance everything that provides resistance provides the opportunity for growth to take place. So in order for my muscles to grow, I'm going to have to put tension and resistance on it. This is the way my muscles are going to grow as above, so below. So if that's what's happening on the physical plane, the same would have to be true on the psychological plane. On the spiritual plane, I'm going to actually have to go through some hardship. This is what we call adversity. This is what we call struggle. This is what we call setbacks, this is what we call hardships. All of these things are meant for you, because they have encoded and packaged, tight, sealed and delivered information to help you to be able to grow and evolve and learn.
Speaker 1:But this is why I'm telling you every time that you lose, you should hold that chin up with a smile on your face, because you know there's a lesson that was encoded in this. There was a lesson that was hidden. You know, when you used to play Super Mario for all my 80s babies out there you play Super Mario Brothers 3 and you go to the little mushroom house and it had those three little treasure chests. The treasure chest and you didn't know what was in it. It could be a flower that spit fireballs. It could be a leaf to turn into a raccoon, which I later learned is called Tanuki Mario. So you could be able to fly, sometimes you had the frog suit, sometimes you had a mushroom, sometimes you had the green mushroom to give yourself an extra life. But within each of those treasures chest was a treasure. There was something that was in there for you. So when you start looking at tragedy as nothing more than treasure, that's encoded inside of it the lesson that needed to be learned to help you to evolve, to help you to grow, to help you to see yourself just a little bit more.
Speaker 1:Now I start to realize ain't a mother thing out here trying to stop me? Everything is actually trying to get me up to the next level. Why? Because life begets life, life begets life. Life produces more life period, point blank. But see, human beings are a little bit more complex than other animals. The lion to eat the zebra, we say, oh my gosh, I can't believe. It just killed that zebra. Do you not know that that zebra was actually given that lion life, do we not see? So let's life be getting life. And here's the thing we don't realize, because it is a complex game of being a human simple, but it's complex in the same breath. We don't realize that the same is holding true for us, but it's shown through resistance and adversity.
Speaker 1:I'm trying to look. Y'all ain't trying to hear nothing. I'm saying I went and looked up the word adversity the other day. I don't know if I told you all this. I looked up the word adversity. I looked up the etymology of the word adversity, because you can look up. Good God, almighty, y'all ain't trying to hear nothing. I'm saying right now. I went and looked up the word adversity. I know a lot of us run from adversity, but if you knew what adversity actually meant. Adversity came from the Latin word adverteer, and that Latin word adverteer means to turn towards good God, almighty. So the word is trying to tell you you are to turn towards what is hard. You are to turn towards that adversity, because the universe is literally saying hey, if you come over here, I'm going to make it really difficult for you, but here's the energetic exchange If you come over here right now, I'm going to give you something that will get you to the top of that mountain here in a couple of years, in a couple of months, in a couple of weeks. But in order to do that, you will have to come over this way. So in order to do that, you're going to have to face your fears. In order to do that, you're going to have to step towards that trauma. In order to do that, you're going to have to have some tough conversations. In order to do that, you're going to have to do the stuff that you've been putting up and sweeping under the rug for a long time in order for you to get to the top of the mountain. And now we got a partnership, we, this thing that we call adversity. You see the way the matrix works. You see how this works.
Speaker 1:They gave you the answer and told you that adversity actually came from the Latin root adverteer, which means deterred towards. But we have been so conditioned, we have been so programmed to think that adversity was something that was bad. Adversity wasn't bad. Adversity wasn't meant to hurt you. Adversity was trying to say hey, come on over here, come here, come here.
Speaker 1:When you go to your grandma's house, you go to uncle's house. I told you I used to go to my grandma's house all the time, every summer she lived in South Carolina Say come on over here, boy, come here, come here, go and grab that pan over there, go put them string peas in there. She'd always tell me to go do it. Come on over here. This is what adversity is saying. It's saying come on over here. I got a lesson here in this loss. I got a lesson in this hardship that you will need. I know you'll need it. I know you'll need it because I exist outside of space and time. So, come on, bring your narrow butt over here, because I got something for you and it's going to look like it's going to set you back, but all it's going to do is allow you to go down so you can gather energy and go up. Do you see how this works?
Speaker 1:Every time that you jumped up, some of us jump higher than others. Everybody wants to jump up and touch the rim and do all that. But you know what they don't realize. Before somebody jumped up to touch the rim and do all that. But you know what they don't realize. Before somebody jumped up to touch that rim and get that alley-oop and dunk that ball, that same person was actually going down at one point. You had to bend those knees and gather energy so you could go up. So the adversity, the struggle, the hardship, the stuff that you've gone through in life, so the adversity, the struggle, the hardship, the stuff that you've gone through in life all of that was just you bending your knees. It was the universe forcing your soul to dip down and bend down and gather energy so you could propel yourself up. But in order to propel yourself up, you was going to have to make the conscious choice that you was going to jump. You was going to have to make the conscious choice that you were going to do this, come hell or high water. You were going to have to make the conscious choice and be accountable, to walk towards the truth, the adversity. Do we see how this works Now? We all have something. All of us have something. I don't care what you are, we all got something. But the lesson is always going to be in the loss. Y'all stay with me.
Speaker 1:I got a personal story here. Kyle I don't know if you're listening to this. He's not a kid anymore, he's a grown man. Me and my wife are the godparents of his children him and Alexa's children. But Kyle Guy, he was an Indiana Mr Basketball.
Speaker 1:I met him when he was 16 years old, ended up being a McDonald's All-American. He went to play in the NBA. He was this kid who I got when he was in high school. Everything that I'm telling you all I was teaching him back then, unbeknownst to me. But he became like a nephew to me, and he still is. I'm 15 years older than him. He's 15 years older than my son. So we have this really cool symbiotic relationship with being able to basically mentor each other.
Speaker 1:So when he was a sophomore in college, when he was a sophomore in college at the University of Virginia, he had dreams and aspirations of playing in the NBA and I said here's the deal If you're going to play in the NBA. It's not that you can't, but the more eyes that are on you it'll make it easier. So we always had a plan. It's like yo, we got to get as deep as you can in the tournament. Obviously it's a team sport. He doesn't have control over it, but he has to get as deep as he can into the NCAA. Tournament has a great year. They're 30 and two. They're ranked number one seed, not only the number one seed in the tournament, they're number one seed in the entire NCAA and they go into this tournament and never, ever, ever has there ever been a loss from a number one seed to the number 16 seed. Now, for all my people who don't know anything about basketball, let me explain this Never has the best team in the country lost to the worst team in the tournament. Never has it ever best team in the country lost to the worst team in the tournament. Never has it ever.
Speaker 1:His sophomore year. He lost. He lost, virginia lost. And he comes off the court crying. He comes off the court crying. I said what is he crying for? This isn't him. I said why is he so devastated? What's going on?
Speaker 1:So I finally talked to him a couple of days later because he was in Charlottesville and I was back in Indiana, and then I had to break the news to him that I was actually moving to Florida. But my point of this is he was going through the toughest time of his life. Good God, almighty, y'all stay with me. He was going through the toughest time of his life, struggling with mental illness and anxiety and everything. I didn't quite have the understanding of the tools to be able to help him. But then I was going through my own tough time. I was going through my own adversity because we moved to Florida and that whole situation is going on. He came down to Florida and I could tell he just didn't seem like himself and I looked at him. I said if you use this situation correctly, if you use this situation correctly, this will be the greatest thing that ever happened to you in your career. And I said your whole team's going to have to do this. So then they go ahead and practice the whole next year and I'm checking in on, I'm going through my own thing, going to Florida, and I'm checking in on them. And you say, yeah, we're doing well, right, right, right, blah, blah. And then we realized that, hey, we're moving back to Indiana. We got to get out of here.
Speaker 1:Then the NCAA tournament comes again. And now here they are. Ncaa tournament comes again, and now here they are, the number one seed again. Maybe they weren't the number one, maybe number two, but now it's the pressure of what if this happens again? What if I make the same mistake? What if I go through the same exact situation? I didn't learn what if? And they start off a little rocky and it starts to look like they're going to lose, and I had to turn the TV off because I'm like, oh, my goodness, I just can't. I can't do this again. I can't do this again. I can't have them. I can't witness this. I can't watch this if they go through this again. But they ended up winning. And then they went a little further in the tournament. They won again and then had that legendary battle against Purdue University. They ended up winning that and now, before you know it, we're in the final four now. And they're in the final four. And to get to the championship game, virginia is down.
Speaker 1:Kyle gets fouled shooting a three-pointer. It was questionable, but he got fouled, and now he's at the free throw line and he has to shoot these free throws. He has to shoot these free throws to be able to win the game and send them off to the next game in the championship. So here's what ends up happening. Okay, he goes to shoot these free throws.
Speaker 1:Now, something I didn't tell you when I trained him all of these years, the last thing we would always do was always finish out a drill. We would always finish out a workout with free throws, always, always, always, always. And here's what I'm saying. My point of this is this the preparation had already prepared him for the opportunity. He was just waiting for the opportunity. The opportunity came. He knocked down the free throws and he ends up going to the final four. Right, I'm sorry, he ends up going to the championship game. This same man who came off the court crying a year before he ends up winning most outstanding player of the final four, which is like winning MVP.
Speaker 1:And the reason why I'm telling you all this? Because I've known Kyle since he was young. Right, we always talked about how everything that comes to us in life is always setting us up for the next thing, and even when it was so hard and you were struggling with mental health and you was going through all this stuff and you were wondering if you were going to get to the NBA and didn't look like you all was going to win it. You were the number one seed that lost to the number 16. I kept telling him. I said, dude, trust the process. Trust that it's going to serve a deeper purpose in your life. There was a lesson in that loss. There was a lesson in that loss. There was a lesson in that loss. Tell me why. A year later, he ended up everything that he said ended up coming true. He ended up winning most outstanding player of the tournament. He ended up winning a national championship. He ended up getting drafted number 55 by the Sacramento Kings. All of these things happened, every single last one of them. Why? Because he extracted the lesson from each loss.
Speaker 1:So I'm here to tell you this and I just want to use my life as a frame of reference. You've encountered some losses in your life. You've encountered some things that you felt like knock you down, that you felt like worked against you, but within that, there was just a lesson that you needed to learn so you could upgrade to the next level. I didn't do the best in school first time I went, probably because I didn't apply myself. But here's what I realized Every time that I did bad on a test, it was actually telling me what I needed to improve on. Every time that you missed that shot, it's just telling you that you need to tuck your elbow in and make sure you leave that follow through up. Every time that you go through something hard, there is a lesson in it for you to get you to see what you need to do differently. And here's the beauty about life Life's going to come back again to see if you learned. But here's what I see Some of us ain't learning.
Speaker 1:I'm going to keep it real with you. I'm gonna just go ahead and keep it a buck. I'm gonna keep it as the kids would say we're gonna keep it 100. Some of us ain't learning. Some of us ain't learning and we wonder why these lessons, these hardships, keep coming Because we ain't applying the lessons that we've learned. As my mama would say, you're being hard-headed. Stop being hard-headed. You know what you need to do.
Speaker 1:People say, well, what do I do? And I say, well, what's going on? And they'll tell me. I said, you just gave me the answer Do it, do it.
Speaker 1:What good is it to have information and do nothing with it? What good is it to read a book and you don't apply anything? What good is it for you to go on a retreat and you didn't apply anything when you went back into the game of life? I can practice all I want, but if I don't apply it in the actual game, I might as well go ahead and sit down on the bench and stop wasting my goddamn time. Do you see how this works? So this is why I keep telling you there's a level of accountability and you're going to have daily standards that support the vision of where you want to go. But please know, please know, please know, please know, please know that every loss that you've encountered, every loss that you will encounter, every loss that you're going through, there is nothing to lose. You're only going to gain so long as you are accountable enough to extract the information and then apply it.
Speaker 1:So the lesson is in the loss. The lesson is in the loss, it's not in the win. It's not in the win. The win only affirmed what you learned. You hear me when I say this I got good grades because I had learned from the times when I didn't get good grades. That's all that it meant. Success just meant what you had learned when you were down in the valley. The valley is where the growth is Not at the top of the mountain. The top of the mountain is what we told you. They taught you to seek, though Do not seek the top of the mountain. Embrace the bottom, embrace the valley, because that's where everything is. That's going to get you to the top of the mountain and it's going to keep you there until the next mountain is created.
Speaker 1:So, for everybody along this journey, so for everybody along this journey, maybe in 2025, we can reshift our perspective of how we view losses and we start to see that there are no losses. There's only lessons for us to learn, there's only growth, there's only evolution. That resistance is meant to make these micro-terrorists so I can become this animal, this beast, this presence that this world has never seen before my family, the lineage. They've never seen anybody with my last name who walked in this energy before. They've never seen anybody from this side of town who had this confidence, this awe, this self-acceptance, this self-awareness, this self-belief. They've never seen anything like this. What if that's really what it was all for?
Speaker 1:It was trying to get you to let go of everything that was on the outside so you would start seeing everything that you truly were on the inside. What if that's what the loss was actually for? And here's the deal. You probably wonder what happens when I get to the top. You probably wonder what happens when I get to the top. There is no top, because that top is actually going to become the bottom of the next version of you. And this is what I'm trying to tell you. Do not get attached to the top of the mountain, because that top of the mountain is the top of the mountain right now. But here's the deal when you get to that next level, that ain't going to be the top of the mountain. How many times do we do that? Man, if I can just make a million now you got a million like, if I could just make 10 million, it'd never be enough. You see how about this? Why don't we just chase the new version of? Why don't we just chase to create the new version of us? And when you do that, you'll start to see everything that I was seeking on the outside was really just a reflection of this new version of me that I'm looking to create. So this is why this is why in 2025, I'm saying I got to create a new version of myself, to help people create new versions of themselves, because my passions have shifted.
Speaker 1:I look back on my evolution. It was about spiritual awareness and then it went from like teaching people how to heal their mind and now it's like OK, we got the spiritual plane, we got the mental plane, let's go ahead and master this physical plane, put it all together Now. Let's go ahead. Let's go ahead and do that. We worked on shooting, we worked on ball handling. Let's go ahead and put it all together now. So this is why, in 2025, I'm trying to help people to create businesses. I'm trying to help people to create financial freedom. I'm trying to help people to create opportunities for themselves, to pass down things to their children and they can live the same life of fulfillment, of living and doing what they love to do.
Speaker 1:My dad used to always tell me daddy I know you're going to hear this at some point he used to always tell me, son, get a job that you love and that way you'll never work a day in your life. You know what I found. You know what I found Doing what you love in this day and age is possible for you to make a living. So figure out what that is and you can go ahead and get yourself enrolled in the Elite Mindset Group Coaching. The Elite Mindset Group Coaching this is why I created it. This is my new vision, my new passion. I want to help. I'm really just. It's me. I've been sharing everything with my evolution.
Speaker 1:It's like, no, let's figure this out. Let's figure out how we can do more of what we love every day and see if we can create time freedom and financial freedom. And if not, that's okay. We're okay because we're just doing what lights us up. Anyway, I'm going to give you all the stuff. I'm going to give you guys access to my team. You guys are going to have live coaching calls with me. All this stuff. I'm making myself readily available to help people along their journey of being in their professional lives.
Speaker 1:But really it starts with the mindset and the personal life, and that's where it differs. We're going to talk about the personal side of life, the real reason why you won't post something, the real reason why you feel imposter syndrome when you feel like you have to sell something. We're going to talk about that. The physical world is nothing more than reflection. We can teach a monkey how to figure out how to grow a business, but can you figure out how to grow you using the business? That is the game, and this is what we call the 5D entrepreneur. But please know, the losses contain the lessons and the lessons are inside of the losses. Until next time you know where to find me, go to Amazoncom. Go ahead and get your copy of the Seven Laws of Healing the Inner Child. Make sure you leave a review and until next time, I wish you nothing but the best on the path to your results.
